Hello, readers. From some previous posts, I was doing some recipes with a purpose of doing a Christmas dinner but our family had some last minute plan changes and headed back to hubby’s hometown instead. But I honestly think this year there wasn’t any need to do my own Christmas dinner because we have been eating and eating and eating everywhere. just this year alone we had 5 invites to dinners or lunches and there’ll be a wedding dinner coming up soon. OMG, talk about excessive….but I’m not complaining. I’m loving every minute of it. I try to take some photos of all the lovely dishes I’ve been sampling and stupidly missed out on one great meat fest at a friend’s house. I was totally enamoured by the roast pork and cracklings. 🙂
But here is a spread at a Chinese restaurant in Aman Suria (Hua Xing Restaurant). The first thing we ordered when we got there was the fried brinjal ‘fries’. Really, really good and to think this branch was so near my house.
From top: Salted fish pork, odd rectangular teapot, alkaline cakes (hong bak),
Fried brinjal, chicken in pineapple,
Fried calamari, mixed vege
I shall be doing some posts here and there every now and then until the pace goes back to normal in the year 2012. For now…blessed Christmas! (As far as I’m concerned, it’s still Christmas till New Year’s Eve).
